| The Mountain Community Church (renamed Liberty) started under the leadership of Matt and Sue Hanlon in 1998. with the support of Kenmore Baptist Church and "Mission to Queensland" |

| Five exciting years of steadily gathering and nurturing has established a vibrant family Church. Matt and Sue moved to Yepoon to begin a new work and so in 2004, a new phase began, as Mark and Cheryl Wilson were called to expand the vision of the church, steering the fellowship toward even greater things in god's timing and purpose. |

| Tamborine Mountain is a significant high place geographically, but it is equally a vantage point to exercise a strategic spiritual influence. Stationed across the mountain are a number of large transmission towers, which broadcast television and radio signals across South East Queensland. |

| We see a striking parallel in "Liberty's" God given mantle to serve as a beacon radiating truth and life to our community. |

| Liberty aims to serve people by seeking to save them from the danger of life without God and calling them to establish new foundations on the solid rock of Jesus Christ. We want to extend love and healing to those whose lives are shipwrecked and to stand firm in representing holiness and presenting truth in these uncertain times.We also believe there is another meaningful analogy evident betweenthe Church and the Mountain |

| ecosystem. Tamborine is a diverse haven for wildlife, rich in forms of vegetation and a place of scenic beauty. The church is likewise a community rich in diversity and yet we share a passion for abundant life. |
| Our desire is to saturate this community with a compelling invitation to know and experience the awesome power of the Gospel message and to embrace the fullness of abundant life only found in relationship with Jesus Chris. We trust that as the Lord leads you , Liberty will become your spiritual home and a family where you find freedom to worship, fellowship and minister for the Lord Jesus Christ. |
