In Kids Church, we do sing really, really loud and we colour; paint and glue; make all sorts if craft items; listen to stories; play games; watch videos; support missionary programs; perform plays and have been known to take over the church every so often. Check out the photos and you can see that we have a lot of fun, our children are willing to "have a go" at just about anything we come up with and hopefully amid the laughter, noise and cray times they just might chew on some great concepts.
We have three classes -
Steam (Ages 4 to School Year 2)
Water (School years 3-4-5)
Ice (School Years 6-7)
Our classes join together for our opening time of singing, celebrating any birthdays, discussing our mission project, etc. The we "Open the Pack" for physical activities to
introduce the day's theme (and have some fun). Next we "Dig In" to think and explore what the Bible tells us and finally "Chew on It" to find out how it applies to us.
For the last part of Kids Church we separate into our groups and each teacher works with the children on age relevant activities, give attendance awards and check memory verses.
Our aim is to provide a spiritual foundation and personal knowledge of God's very great love for each child through teaching the Bible in partnership with their families.
